Ecco began as a small seed that grew out of the Conservatory of Music and Arts in 1992. What started as a select ensemble from within the Conservatory Singers became the Manitoba Conservatory Chamber Singers the following year. As the ensemble grew artistically, the enthusiasm and energy of the group helped launch the move to become an independent, community-based choir, incorporating under the name Musaico, Inc.

The singers are selected by audition and share enthusiasm for the diversity of musical styles. Ecco has released three CD's; Christmas with Ecco, Villages of the Earth, and A Prairie Christmas. The choir has been heard on CBC radio. Right from its inaugural concert in 1996, the halls have been filled to capacity. Ecco's audience base continues to grow every year.
